It turns out I have SO MUCH news to share!! I have been hiding out in my writing cave trying to finish edits on Scot & Bothered (so close! Gah!) and a flurry of fun things has been happening for Kilt Trip I’ve been delinquent in sharing. So without further ado!

FOX+WIT SUBSCRIPTION BOX

Kilt Trip was chosen as the Fox+Wit March Subscription Title for the Foxglove Subscription Box. That, by itself, is SO exciting, but ALSO they designed a custom dust jacket that has my whole heart! This scene in the gloaming up on Calton Hill looking over Edinburgh is one of my favorites and I adore how playful Logan and Addie are here. ALSO THE KILT GRAB. It’s everything!

There’s a waitlist for the subscription box, but you can join and we’ll all cross our fingers and hope! I’ve been busy signing bookplates for this and making a (admittedly weepy) playlist. Is there a word for something past a bucket list, because this book box is on there!

EVENTS

I have two launch week events, so if you’re in Colorado, I would absolutely love to see you!

The first is the launch party at the Boulder Bookstore on March 5th at 6:30pm. I will mention that a friend of mine is designing Kilt Trip themed cookies and I could not be more excited!

If you’d like to pre-order a book to pick up at the event, add a note during the check out process, or you can buy a copy that night.

The second event is at Fiction Beer hosted by Books Are Awesome in Parker, CO on March 9th at 2:00pm. Fiction Beer has a custom drink for us and I heard a rumor there will be shortbread. I’ve also got a fun giveaway planned and there may or may not be a hairy coo stuffy involved.

Ticket price includes admission, a copy of Kilt Trip, and a drink!

Phew, I am still going. Probably should’ve emerged from the editing cave for a newsletter before now…

WHAT I’M READING

I may have yelled about this book before, but it’s my FAVE. Also this COVER! So pretty!

Ash is a reality TV show villain in need of a glow up and Gabe is Hollywood’s golden boy in need of a little tarnish for his new edgy superhero role. So why not road trip across the country with your polar opposites who you really, really can’t stand?

The banter is so sharp, the steam is Georgia-in-August levels, the vulnerability and heartfelt moments are all the more sweet for the enemies-to-lovers arc.

I just finished Ellie Palmer’s debut and LOVED it. Alison arrives at her ex-boyfriend’s funeral and when she’s introduced as his girlfriend, she says, “former,” and the guy goes, “obviously.” And then the conversation moves on before she can correct it and I was DYING. She and her ex’s best friend agree to go through her ex’s apartment to help his grieving parents for the next four weekends.

I absolutely adore Ellie’s voice and the writing is a delight to read. Not the mention the banter and chemistry between the leads, the fantastic side characters, and the explorations of grief and the definition of a well-lived life.
