KILT TRIP Cover Reveal!!

Hello Lovelies!

Ahhh!! The day has finally arrived!! I am so incredibly excited to share the cover of KILT TRIP with you!

Globetrotter Addie Macrae always follows her wanderlust. As a travel consultant, she jet sets around the world—anywhere but Scotland. But when she’s sent on assignment to help a struggling family-run tour company in the Highlands—and save her own job—Addie packs away her emotional baggage and turns on the professional charm.

Rugged as the land he loves, Logan Sutherland’s greatest joy is sharing the beauty of Scotland’s hidden gems…even if it means a wee bit of red ink on the company’s bottom line. The last thing Logan wants is some American “expert” pushing tourist traps and perpetuating myths about the Loch Ness Monster—especially when Addie never leaves her desk to experience the country for herself.

As they wage an office war, Logan discovers Addie’s secret connection to Scotland: a handful of faded Polaroids of her late mother. Hoping for a truce, he creates a private tour to the places in the pictures to help Addie find closure and appreciate the enchantment in less-traveled destinations, never expecting the off-limits attraction sparking between them. But Addie’s contract is almost up, and magic won’t pay the bills. They can’t afford distractions, but how can Addie do her job if she hasn’t explored all Scotland—and Logan—have to offer?

Monique Aimee did such a phenomenal job capturing Logan and Addie. They are exactly how I pictured them! A huge thanks to the art director, Alexandra Niit, and the Canary Street Press team, including my wonderful editor, Lynn Raposo, for bringing this to life.

First, I have to gush about Logan’s kilt, obviously—it’s the Sutherland tartan and I just adore it and his cable knit sweater! And Addie’s boots! On her first day in Edinburgh, the airline loses her luggage, so she meets Logan wearing a yellow raincoat she bought at the airport and *heart eyes* These details are giving me life!

Addie travels all the time for work so she’s a bit of a loner. Her besties are her GPS called Gigi and her suitcase named Frank. He has stickers of every country they’ve ever been too. I screamed when I saw Frank made an appearance on the cover!

And the castle! Originally, the castle was based on Edinburgh Castle, which dominates the city skyline but was also designed as a military stronghold. We decided to change the castle for something a little more romantic and the one on the cover was inspired by Eilean Donan Castle. It’s one of the most photographed castles in Scotland, and for good reason! It looks like it’s straight out of a fairy tale!

Also! Addie’s last name is Macrae and Eilean Donan is the seat of the Macrae Clan. I got to visit again this summer and take pictures of my book with the castle on the cover and it was one of the best moments of the trip!
